How to Download Video from Youtube

In Ubuntu 12.04, actually you could use Minitube. But not any more. So here are some suggestions:
The best way is using http://keepvid.com
Just copy paste the URL video you want (youtube, Facebook, etc).

The easiest way is just add "ss" (without quote) in front of youtube link such as:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gWhcHCVR08
become like this:
https://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=1gWhcHCVR08

If you want to download part of the video, for example from time 00:02:40 (HH:MM:SS) to 00:04:40 just click:
http://www.filsh.net

In Linux use youtube-dl
------------------------
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install youtube-dlg

You could paste the youtube URL Link here:
http://en.savefrom.net

Some said you should change the URL:

ex www.youtube.com/dst.... to ssyoutube.com/dst.....then will be directed to a site.

 DownloadHelper, add-ons in Mozilla Firefox

The other is www.keepvid.com
And Youtube Downloader.
